Voron 0.2 auto Z nozzle touch switch + wiper (for Kirigami bed frames)

Automatic Z calibration on Voron 0.2!

This is a mount for a nozzle wiper and touch microswitch that attaches to the Kirigami bed frame on Voron 0.2 printers.

It allows to use the Klipper Z calibration plugin with 0.2 printers.

The nozzle wiper part is inspired by this model.

The basic switch actuation design is inspired be the so called Sexbolt mod.

Required parts (BOM)

For the Z touch switch:

• 1x M3x10 BHCS
• 1x brass bushing (6x4x5 mm, od x id x h)
• 1x chicago / book screw M3 (for example these) 
• 1x Kailh GM4.0 microswitch

For the nozzle wiper:

• A silicone egg cooking ring works nice (Amazon DE / Amazon UK)
• 1x M3x20 BHCS

For general mounting:

• 1x M3x8 BHCS
• 1x M3 heat set insert

Assembly

Switch

Insert the brass bushing and Chicago screw into the mount from the top, fasten with the M3x10 bolt from below.

Insert the microswitch into the recess and make sure the screw head rests on the actual switch. It may be necessary to slightly trim the sharp edges of the microswitch body with a craft knife. It should have a very tight fit.

Nozzle wiper

Cut the egg cooking ring into three approximately 6x9 mm pieces.
Insert them into the slots and secure with an M3x20 bolt. You can pierce the pieces beforehand to make inserting the bolt easier. 

Mounting

Seat a heat set insert into the hole on the side and then fit onto the Kirigami bed and secure with a M3x8 bolt.
