I've printed a few now and I can confidently say that it works quite well for blasters with excess air, adjustable FPS, or spring spacers

It's a genius design and idea, just make sure not to print in PLA like me T-T
Thanks for the model!
I shot a dart out of a drain blaster with this and I don't know where it is so Im assuming it works well

Love it :)
Thank you for the review and feedback :)
do the different numbers on the files mean, do they mean fps ranges? and what parts should i be printing?
for example, if i'm printing "Acorn - 190 - 230 - v1-1.stl", should i be pairing that with the BCAR sleeve? (edited)
had to scale up the lock sleeve to 101% as it was too tight, could just be my printer/filament though

printed the 190 clean version stl for my xshot long shot that has a k25 spring cut a couple coils too long for pre compression, and a 40cm barrel with metal plunger tube. i was blown away by the accuracy and consistency. before i attached it i had a good 150mm spread maybe larger. now im hitting back to back bullseye shots i could only fire 5 darts for now because of the dogs being in the way but i will test more . my long shot is now fit for an actual red dot sight or acog sight. i printed this with .2 layer hight 2 walls and 13 percent gyroid infill. (edited)

@3dmints_1098610 thank you for the review and the stars. If your interested in testing any beta or alternative version let me know.
@Beneto_119102 yeah i would love to
can you explain the difference between models like the pcar and acar and a 190 to say a 300? the one I printed doesn't seem to do much on my gun, its a caliburn c4. (edited)
@3Dsunbeam_459885 so the way the math works (currently) is the higher the gps the less sever the channels rotate. So 110 has much more curve in the air channels than the 300.
That being said if your not seeing much difference there are a few things you can check.
1) how much space is between the dart and the walls of the acorn?
There should be a little over 1mm (1.2mm). If there is more than that then it could be that you need to reprint and shrink the size by a percent or two.
Reason for this is the air does need to be close to the dart to interact with it and also keep it from bouncing around before it leaves the acorn.
2) Small o-ring
You can drop a very small o ring around the barrel (after the base is on but before you put the acorn on so it squishes. It depends on your attachment method though. I don’t think the lock sleeve supports this but the clamp and collet do. However it makes it hard to get and keep it on using the collect so I mostly suggest it with the clamp.
3) Beta test
If you want I can add you to a list of people is end variant files to test and see if those end up working better for you.
@Beneto_119102 thanks for the detailed reply I tried the ACAR W Collet - Design Two - 190 and i'm running a much softer spring in my caliburn so maybe I should try something like the 110 but I would love to see what the end variants would be like. thanks
Awesome! Do you think you could make a clamp version with a shorter base section that could clamp onto the roughly 0.5” section of barrel that extends from the longer barreled lynx? Glad you could get it working.
@therealnickyt_555859 thank you.
Admittedly I won’t claim the title of 100% working for everyone all the time yet. Some people are running into difficulty with it and in some cases it’s acting like a kitchen throwing a curve ball.
In my testing I didn’t have that happen so I am not sure where it’s coming from but I am trying to get to the bottom of it.
Hit me up on the discord if you have any tips or suggestions. (edited)
working great!!! I'm a huge fan. I'm have trouble with the 300 collet model. The threads are not showing on the ACAR when I print it. The collet comes out great. Any suggestions?
@butt4life_1202571 I didn’t notice that. Looks like I some how exported the wrong model. I will get that updated for you.
In the mean time try it with the lock sleeve version if you want.
You mention using slow motion footage to analyze this design; would you be able to share some of your testing footage? I think a lot of people will be pretty skeptical that airflow can impart meaningful spin to the dart in such a short length.
@Spock I will see if I can find any that was any good. It was all from my phone and not the best angles.
Tested on a 200 fps blaster at 20 meters
The box is 22x20mm
very accurate and unique way of designing!

@radio_windmil_870141 what darts were you using? Were they new?
