If you've ever wondered about the changes in your hydroponics nutrient solution over time, you might have thought about getting a set of probes for continuous monitoring. That's exactly what I did.
Since decent quality probes can be quite expensive, I didn't want to just shove them in the tank and leave them dangling all over. To address this, I designed a specialized probe holder.
This probe holder features:
- Main clip for ½" PVC pipe (21.25mm)
- Probe clip for EC probe (12mm)
- Probe clip for PH probe (12mm)
- Probe clip for RTD probe (4mm or 6mm)
Print settings recommendations:
- I recommend using clear PETG, as it will be submerged in the nutrient solution and a food-ish-grade plastic is preferable, also PETG is quite flexible which is a must for this design.
- Set a high number of perimeters. This ensures complete shape filling, eliminates the need for infill, and enhances the holder's durability.
- A higher nozzle temperature may help in achieving a more water-resistant finish.
