The patterns were created for an experimental approach on 3D printing on fabric. The patterns have nice effects on fabric, letting it form interesting shapes when shifted. Some, like the miura, are deducted from origami tesselations.
I used the “solid” patterns and then messed around with perimeters/top and bottom layers and infill patterns, creating different effects, stabilities and looks.
I used permeable fabrics, so the layers could merge through the gaps. Add a stop after 1-2 layers, place fabric and make sure there are no wrinkles. I use flat magnet strips to secure the fabric.
