Miniature low-profile belt/strap buckle that is only 0.42g and 2mm thick. Provided model is designed for 10mm x 1mm straps but the original design file is parametric for relatively easy modification.
Not intended for load bearing applications but does have impressive holding power when pulled laterally. Can be easily disconnected by pressing down on the center button and pulling or by twisting the buckle ends in opposite directions.
Printing requires a very finely tuned first layer as an outwards “elephant foot" will prevent the latch from closing all the way. Cleaning up the hole from the side facing the print bed with a 90° chamfer bit also works if the button doesn't go through all the way.
Recommended print settings:
Provided STLs contain multiple bodies, so you will need to use the “Split to objects” and “Place on face” options in PrusaSlicer to arrange the individual parts on the print bed. A few variations with different tolerances between the parts are also provided.
3/5/2021 - Added two variations of hooks to attach buckle to mask straps.
