Add ons for a planter that isolate the print from earthly pigments and dripping water.
Wasserfeste Innenhaut + Einsatz für einen Außentopf.
This was made to fit into the Roman well head with buccolic scenes which has an inner space of 100mm diameter and 125mm height, It serves to isolate the outside planter from dripping water and/or pigments washed out from the earth when using it to really hold plants.
It consists of two parts, one is an inside skin filling the opening. Printed in TPU and with a wall thickness of 1,2 mm this is waterproof.
The second part is the actual flower pot which is a conus and rests 10mm above the bottom of the inner skin so there is room to take and hold dripping water. You can then lift the flower pot out of the skin and pour the surplus liquids out, avoiding to have your flowers stand with ‘wet feet’. This part I printed with PLA so I could change filament for the top of it to match the filament I used to print the planter. No support which is a bit of a challenge for the topmost ring but I worked (and saved hours of printtime.) One of the pics show all parts assembled together.
I have it as an parametric model so in case you'd like that but in different dimensions drop me a message and I can create customized .st
The author marked this model as their own original creation.
