I found @itchyd's dice tray/holder when looking for a gift for my Pathfinder-obsessed son. I liked it but it was too small for the special pen and custom dice I had purchased. The rounded edges also created overhangs that didn't print nicely. So I reimplemented the design in Fusion 360, increased it a bit in size, replaced the fillets with chamfers, and added the Pathfinder logo.
Two versions, one with the Pathfinder logo, one without. STEP files are also provided, for easy customization. The Fusion 360 file also includes a sketch to put a name or initials on the end cap as you can sew in the pictures.
Prints fine with a 0.6mm nozzle, no supports needed. Print two copies of the tray. You'll need 12 6x3 mm magnets, e.g., https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B077K364Z7 The magnets are supposed to be press-fit but printer tolerances vary, so you may want to put a drop of super glue into the magnet holes to hold them in place.
Double-check when you insert the magnets that they are in the correct orientation and attract, not repel the opposite magnets!!!! Then check again! And one more time! Believe me, it's easy to mess up—as I know from experience 🤬 … My tip: Insert 4 magnets into the top holes of one of the dice trays. Put another 4 magnets on top of those magnets and press the second tray down onto those magnets. Now insert 2 magnets into the side of one tray, put 2 magnets on top, then press the side of the other tray onto the magnets. Finally, with the two trays sitting on top of each other, put 4 more magnets on the magnets in the sides of the trays, then press the end cap onto those magnets.
