The SanDisk Ultra Dual-Drive Go USB Type-C are a little small to label and easy to misplace. :-)
So created a sleeve (case) that provides an area to add a label, either with the slicer or sharpie.
Then added a set of clips (holding from 1 to 6 sleeves) to keep a set of sleeves together.
I've printed the sleeves in both ASA and PLA and each turned out great.
Includes:
1 sleeve (i.e. case) STL file
6 clip STL files where the number in the filename is the number of sleeves supported.
1 Bambu Studio 3mf project file.
1 FreeCAD document
Slicer recommendations: Included my Bambu Slicer .3mf file which basically just sets Extra fine layer height (0.08 mm) as the dovetail is only 1.5 mm in height and for support sets Normal(auto) Snug, which is easy to remove from the interior of the sleeve with needle nosed pliers and a standard screwdriver.
For Bambu Slicer, to add text, in the Prepare tab, select the sleeve with the dovetail down then select the sleeve and choose Text Shape. Set Thickness to the minimum (0.1 mm), the Embedded Depth to 1.0 mm, and fill in Input Text. Position the text on the sleeve, adjusting the Size as needed for the Text Shape. Under Process select Object, then select the text_shape and right click, then select Change Filament and select the text filament. Next select the sleeve and rotate 180 degrees on the X axis to place the text at the bottom of the sleeve. Notice the sleeve is 0.1 mm above the plate so use the Move command and lower the sleeve the text height, i.e., 0.1 mm.
To adjust the number of sleeves (cases) held in a clip, open FreeCAD, then open the 3mf file. In the “params” spreadsheet the first line is “NumberOfCases”. Adjust the number in the second column to however many sleeves you want, keeping in mind that the “ClipLength” needs to be less or equal to the printable width of your printer. Save, then select “ClipBody” and do a File, Export, then OK the defaults.
Note the sleeves are a snug fit on the clip. You may need to keep the sleeve level on the clip when trying to move the clip on the sleeve. Also each clip includes a couple of nubs to make removing the sleeves by accident extremely unlikely.
