This is a concept for greenhouse based upon a geodesic dome using 3D printed articulated joints, PVC pipes, and greenhouse plastic. Unfortunately I don't have the funds at the moment to realize the full concept but the 3D printed joints have been tested and work well so far!
The geodesic green house design uses eleven, 5-sided joints (PentJoint); fifty-five pvc-joint connectors; and thirty lengths of ¾ inch diameter PVC.
In the hopes that people might be able to come up with some other neat designs (aside from the icosahedron based design I show here) I have also included 2-sided, 3-sided, 4-sided, and 6-sided joints. If I come up with any additional concepts using these, I will upload them here.
The 3D printed joints can all be printed at 0.2 mm layer height with a 0.4 mm nozzle. They should be printed in the default orientation.
The 3D printed pvc-joint connectors can be printed at 0.2 mm layer height with a 0.4 mm nozzle. They should be printed in the default orientation.
Material: The material shown here is PLA but I recommend using PETG or another UV resistant material in place of PLA if the print is going to be used outdoors.
