Dino-Clip Mechanical CAM Chip-Clip (PRINT-IN-PLACE)

I was first inspired by Andrei’s brilliant Bag Clip, which I consider one of the most clever print-in-place designs I’ve ever seen!  A Brilliant mechanical design that printed PERFECTLY in place!

That curiosity pushed me to explore cam mechanisms in SolidWorks, analyzing the geometry and motion that make them so efficient. After dozens of iterations refining tolerances, proportions, and aesthetics, the design evolved into what’s now known as the Dino-Clip.

Printing tips:

• Best results with 0.2 mm layers at 20% infill. 
• PETG recommended for thebest Strength
• After printing, remove the support and squeeze the jaws like a nutcracker to loosen the motion.
• The deeper the bag goes into the mouth, the tighter the grip — adjust for thickness.
