This model was created by Dany Sánchez

Pagodas are typical Eastern structures, usually taking the form of a several-story, wooden tower with gabled roofs. This model represents any of the many pagodas in Kathmandu's Durbar Square, Nepal, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Several buildings in the Square collapsed due to a major earthquake on 25 April 2015 (from Wikipedia).

In 2015, all profits from downloads of this model in Pinshape.com were donated to UNICEF Nepal Relief. Donations were matched by government and corporate sponsors, meaning donations were tripled. After some fundraising period, this model became free to download on Pinshape and it's now available too here on Printables.

MiniWorld3D is happy to bring this historical model to life as a homage to all the people of Nepal. Please give credit, it's all about spreading culture!

PRINT SETTINGS


Supports are highly recommended.

You can also split this file in your slicer or Tinkercad, so that it prints without support. We will provide split versions in the future, but for now this legacy model from 2015 is what we have.

We recommend splitting it vertically in two halves that can be printed flat lying down on the print bed; or, by "levels" like a stack of pancakes, where the cutting plane is right below each overhanging roof.

Print slow, such as 20mm/s outer perimeters.

Infill 12%, lightning possible.
