As I was trying to pull some weeds from my lawn without pulling up the grass, this idea came to me. This tool lets you pull leaves and stems of broadleaf weeds while leaving the grass alone.

This does not pull the roots out (maybe it will for some shallow rooted weeds), but it can help give grass a fighting chance by removing the leaves that are blocking light. With repeated use, it may help kill the weeds by stopping them from collecting energy from the sun, but I have not tested that theory. I mainly designed this to deal with a weed called Lesser Celandine, but it should work on some other broadleaf weeds as well.

Scoop the teeth just below the leaves of the weeds to pull them out. Do not dig deep into the thatch or soil - you'd probably need a tougher tool for that.

I printed in PETG.

4/13/23 Update: I printed a new version with 95A TPU. It works almost as well as the PETG version, but should have much less risk of breaking. To make it as rigid as possible, I used 100% infill for the bottom 3mm. For the rest of it, I used 20% infill with the honeycomb pattern
