I got the idea for these speakers on the Tech Ingredients Youtube channel. Print these legs and mirror them for the other side of the ceiling tile. If you don't use this with a receiver that does crossover, the bass may move the speakers around on the floor from vibrations.

Standing the speakers on the floor likely impacts the sound quality compared to free floating them but I couldn't hear much of a difference and didn't have much space on my walls. I also wanted these speakers to be easily transportable for use with an outdoor projector.

In my own setup I set my speakers up as “small” and have the crossover set at 110hz to let the subwoofer handle most of the bass. They sound way better than they deserve to, filling the room with sound. I think they sound very balanced and am considering doing some smaller speakers for my rear surround.
