A simple rod sharpening angle guide for a belt grinder or similar.

Give your broken drill bits a new life with this foolproof angle guide!

Universal angle of 120° horizontally and 7°, 10°, 15°, 30°, 45° and 60° vertically.

This way you have everything you need for sharpening drill bits but also other rod shaped objects.

From my experience it works very well with standard sized bits from about 1 to 10mm.
Very large bits don't fit on anything but the 7° slope.
Smaller bits than about 1mm are tougher to handle because of the groove, but can be done.

If you need other than 120° horizontal angle, all you need to do is to just turn it accordingly.

Two versions available

  • For a 6mm thick table (mine) that is held from both top and bottom
  • Flat for anyone (i attach it with wise grips)

Feel free to cut off the prolonged support in the slicer if you have any other way to hold it.

HOW TO PRINT:

STLs are correctly oriented.
Make sure the long strip is strong enough to handle wise grips.
I printed mine with 0,3 layer height, 5 perimeters and 13% infill and it works fine.
