Had a bit of fun designing this on my off day today.

Print Settings:

0.25mm layer height, no supports necessary.

I used standard #6/¾in countersunk screws for this project

Naming

The models provided should be good for the cable type they are labeled for, but you can check by measuring the cable you are printing for.

The names of the provided models are cable diameter to cable head width by shelf thickness.

Parameters:

  • CableDiameter: Width of the slot
  • CableStrainDiameter: Width of the top (transition) of the slot.
  • CableHeadWidth: Width of the moulding at the end of the cable containing the connector.

  • ShelfThickness: How thick your shelf or desk is. This will make the entire assembly taller.
  • TransitionDepth: How tall your strain relief is, or how far you want the cable end to sit into the assembly.

  • ScrewDiameter: Diameter of the screw and threads.
  • ScrewHeadThickness: Thickness of screw head, to make it flush with bottom of assembly.
  • ScrewHeadDiameter: Diameter of screw head, will affect countersink size and depth of section extending under the shelf.

  • LThickness: Thickness of the section extending underneath the shelf
  • FilletDia: Fillet Diameter. You can remove it by stepping the timeline back 1
  • Tolerance: Included in all expressions where necessary, so go ahead and take an accurate measurement.

If you don't want to use a countersunk screw, you can move the timeline past the last extrude to cut the countersink for a socket head screw.
