If printed at 1 Wall and 15% lightning infill, PLA can be used since it can survive the drops you can encounter from around 3 feet / 1 meter.  I threw it well above my head to around 2.5m and it broke on the 3rd try. I have a strong feeling it'll last long.

Make sure you download STEP files for a perfectly circular look. STLs tend to look geometric as the circle is comprised of many rectangles/triangles :)
