I changed the overall dimensions to allow the model to print on a 230x230 build plate. This is pretty much maxes out a Ender 3's build plate. I have not tested this design to confirm all internal parts still work. It will obviously be tighter than the original model, however from measurements of my own dryer and quite a few hours of editing and reconfirming all the measurements in Fusion, I feel confident that this design should work with no/little modification.
There is also test jigs available so you can check which version of internal components you have without making the full enclosure
I've Added and updated roller that is printed along side Pins to get the round roller and not have the overhangs with the pins connecting to the bearings. One side of the roller is Hexagonal, for the spool roller, the other side (mostly) round (made not round so it can print easy without affecting the overall grip inside the bearing). Tolerances are tight on this to keep it locked together you may need to file/sand the pins a bit to get them just right.
This uses a RECTANGULAR temp/humidity sensor instead of the original circular one, as this is what I have currently. I included an updated model to include an option for the original circular temp/humidity sensor, as the circular cutout is easier on most printers to print successfully though the bridging required is not significant and most printers would do fine with either style.
Example GIF added to show how to support the Lid properly (paint on supports)
You assume the risk of breaking your (very cheap and easy to replace) Dehydrator by building this box, use common sense and if possible add in addition safety features like a thermal fuse to keep you safe. This mod isn't worth burning your house down. Don't leave this running unattended until you have fully tested your new build.
NEEDS TO BE PRINTED IN A HIGHER TEMP FILAMENT (80c+/ PETG,ABS,PC,NYLON) PLA WILL DISTORT OVERTIME, ITS NOT CONSIDERED SAFE.
Please let me know of any issues you run into with this model I will try to update.
The author remixed this model.
Changed around to fit on Ender 3 build plate (230x230)
