I was asked to use e-ink displays from Waveshare to create reusable and customizable name badges. So I did. These are simple to print. Print them face down with supports just in the open “window” area.

The e-ink display just slides in and you can tuck the ribbon cable in to keep it safe.

Use the self-adhesive magnets to be able to wear it.

This post won't give details on how to program these, but below are all the links for what you see in the pictures and what you need to program it:

Raspberry pi Zero (must have GPIO header pins): https://www.amazon.com/Raspberry-Bluetooth-Compatible-Connector-headers/dp/B0CG99MR5W/

Waveshare Universal e-Paper Raw Panel Driver HAT: https://www.waveshare.com/e-paper-driver-hat.htm

Waveshare 212x104, 2.13inch E-Ink raw display panel, three-color (doesn't have to be 3 color version): https://www.waveshare.com/2.13inch-e-paper-b.htm

Name tag magnets: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01DQEFB8W/

There is a raised bar on the back of the name tag. This is to help you align the magnet on the back when you stick it on.
