This is a slight modification of a great Drybox made by Dynarun to add a hygrometer in the front. You could also use my universal drybox plug to make it airtight when not in use.

Required Parts

Print basis.stl from this project, and all other parts from Dyna Dry Box. You also need a 42mm wide round hygrometer. I used these: https://www.amazon.de/dp/B07YWRFKWY

How To Print

Print the base (basis.stl) in PETG or ABS to avoid cracking when sliding in the rollers. Everything else can be PLA and use an accent color if you like.

I'd advise an inner brim for the rollers to increase bed adhesion.

The screws need the following X/Y hole compensation:

  • 0.15mm for the nut
  • 0.05mm for the screw

They should be printed at 0.12mm layer height

I've provided a 3mf file that has all these parameters already applied and consists of 3 plates. You can combine the first two if you print everything in ABS/PETG.

Assembly
  • Press the 608 bearings into the rollers, they should go in with a bit of force and be a snug fit
  • pull apart the base with your fingers and insert the rollers. don't pull too much to avoid cracking the base
  • insert some silica into the tray and close the lid
  • insert hygrometer into the front. it should snap into place with some force
  • put the assembly in the cereal box and close the lid. drill a hole into the top using the jig and a 14-15mm drill bit
  • insert the pneumatic fitting into the lower screw part, push through hole from below and screw in the top nut
  • insert ptfe tube into the top, put in spool, pull a bit of filament from spool through tube
