The Sutro Cartridge holder is a convenient alternative to the OEM supplied tether attached to the top handle of the Sutro Cartridge. It allows easy removal of the Cartridge for servicing (e.g. battery change and chemical cartridge replacement). You can remove the existing tether to eliminate the additional drying step required before opening the cartridge. The new holder fits loosely around the oval shaped cartridge and is sized to not affect the normal buoyancy position of the Cartridge. You simply lift the cartridge for removal. The holder also has a small hole for attaching a tether to the side of your pool.
Pool chemicals may affect durability over time, I printed using PETG and after approximately 6 months (Salt Water Pool) have noted no deterioration.
The design has been acknowledged by the Sutro developer and technical staff as a useful alternative tether.
