I recently got a coffee maker known as a “phin” (pronounced pheen). It is a Vietnamese method of making coffee. I enjoy the coffee it makes, but the bottom plate of the phin just fits on top of my favorite cup. It also gets hot, making it hard to take off the cup.
A simple ring extends the plate to fully cover the cup, and it gives me something cooler to grab when the coffee is brewed.
Since this will be used with hot water, it is recommended to use a filament with a higher glass point temperature.
