First of all, why two fans?
- You have better access to the nozzle
- The cooling is improved
- Significantly quieter, as the fan speed can be significantly reduced
I print PLA with 20-30% fan speed and PETG with 10-20%. This makes the fans very quiet. So make sure to adjust the fan speeds in the slicer.
This is a Remix from this Print: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3697665
I set the fan mount 2mm lower because it blew too much against the nozzle.
Both fans should be of the same type.
The three original attachment points are used, so only additional screws and nuts are required to attach the new fan.
To connect the second fan, the black and red cables of the two fans have to be joined. The yellow cable (speed signal) is only required by one fan.
It is best to connect the cables at the point as shown in the picture or in the Einsy case.
