A one way bearing to prevent brake torque on the motor drive.
I have two options here, one is a separate gear from bearing ( in case you want to keep your existing gear ) and another is an integrated gear and bearing setup. You will need to repair the gear case in your slicer, doesn't take very long. Works pretty well as it prevents the spools from skipping and hopping when you stop the motor. pay attention to the orientation of the core piece as that determines the bearing directions. Please test it and leave your feedback. Thank you!
The author remixed this model.
Mount this to the motor and then mount the gear to the lid, Should allow for the rotation to keep moving when the motor stops preventing any brake torque stress. ( original bearing from here https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5881378
Updated version integrates the gear to the case for a one piece setup.
