The Owl House Rebuilt Portal Door

This is a model of the rebuilt portal door from the show The Owl House.

There are several options for how you can print this model. The photos show color parts with static wings.

One Part

Everything is printed in one part. This is not meant to be printed in multiple colors. If you want colors with this version, you will have to paint it.

Print “toh_door-rebuilt one part”, or “toh_door-rebuilt one part short”. On “toh_door-rebuilt one part”, the stairs on the front are flattened, reducing the length to 18.4mm.

Supports on buildplate are required. I recommend using adaptive layer height.

Color Parts

The model is split into parts according to their color.

You can print either “toh_door-rebuilt base” or “toh_door-rebuilt base short”. On “toh_door-rebuilt base short”, the stairs on the front are flattened, reducing the length to 18.4mm.

You have two options for the wings.

Static Wings

The wings are fixed and can not move.

Print two copies of “toh_door-wings static”. ("toh_door-wings static" contains two wing halves, giving you a total of four wing halves)

No supports required. Recommended Layer Height is 0.15mm. Start with gold, change to white at 1.7mm and back to gold at 2.15mm.

Movable Wings

The wings can open and close. Due to the small size, they can be a bit tricky.

For Assembly, stack the feathers onto the rod of the base. Put the cover on top so that it aligns with feather 5 and glue it to feather 5. Insert the bolt through the cover into the base and glue it to the base.

Door Only

The files “toh_door-rebuilt door” and “toh_door-rebuilt door no eye” contain only the door.

On “toh_door-rebuilt door” everything is in one part.

On “toh_door-rebuilt door no eye” you will also need “toh_door-rebuilt door eye” (yellow) and “toh_door-rebuilt door eye filling” (black) for the eye.
