Because the MK3.9/MK4 now positions the X-axis motor cable at the top of the xBuddy box, this 90-degree strain relief bracket minimizes the flex point of the wires not covered by the textile sleeve and secures the sleeve at it leaves the stepper motor to distribute the flex across the whole cable assembly.

The print requires only a couple small points of support as shown in the picture.  These are easily painted on with support enforcers, and snug supports work well with minimal waste.

Assembly requires 2x M3x10 screws and 2x M3n nuts from the spares kit.  If the nuts are a little snug, you can use the “screw pulling technique” to seat them before assembly.

The example was printed in Prusament PETG with a 0.4mm nozzle using the 0.20 Structural profile.

Model origin

The author remixed this model.

Differences of the remix compared to the original

The model was created from the ground up to route and support the X-motor cable 90 degrees towards the rear, rather than straight down.  Because the core design borrows ideas from the model by the original designer, they deserve credit for inspiring me.
