Update, 29/10/2024: Added a new version of the explore and dance tokens tray that supports the Expanding the Hive expansion. No other parts need to change to accommodate the expansion.
---
These are a few individual pieces for the box for Apiary designed to improve the storage of some of the components and make setup faster.
Note that to fit these in the original insert, I have swapped around where the pieces are stored: the resources, explore tokens, and dance tokens are now stored in the smaller cutout, and the player items (bees, cubes, and hibernation tokens) are now stored where the original resource tray was stored.
The resources tray replaces the original removable insert and adds separate sections so the resources can be sorted by type. The explore and dance tokens are then stored on top, with an extra section acting as a lid for the resources that aren't under the game board. The queen ship mini can also rest on the lid section.
Each player colour's pieces is stored in a separate tray, stacked under the docking mats. Two player trays stacked vertically are the same height as the original resource tray, so the docking mats will still fit flush on top. It's good to rotate the top two so they're perpendicular to the three on the bottom, that way they're less likely to wobble in the box.
For vertical storage, print one extra player tray to fill the remaining space. This isn't necessary if the game is kept flat.
Each file specifies how many to print.
