I redesign the Desingn Maarten Vlug, i change everyting and build a nice smoother design wich looks more “as stock”

I design and upload several variants.

Just a little favour

>>>Less then 10% of downloaded Models get a like.

→ If you like the design, it will be nice if you click on the like button and maybe share your print.

The Design:

You can choose between 2 Variants :

Enclosure with Upper and Lower Riser

→The normal Variant with Upper and Lower Riser which i like more then it looks more symetricaly.

Enclosure with Upper Riser

→The reduced variant without the Lower Riser, for those who dont like the Lower Riser

Then you can choose between 2 Variants of the Upper Riser

Upper Riser with vents

For those who wanna install the SMFC (Stepper-Motor-Fan-Cooling)
the vents are designed as a hot air outlet for the electonic bay and the SMFC (Stepper-Motor-Fan-Cooling)

Upper Riser without vents

For those who dont like the vents on the Upper Riser and dont want to install the  SMFC (Stepper-Motor-Fan-Cooling)

Note: If you print a enclosure with door you need to install a electronic bay cover,

→to prevent overheating of the electronic bay from the hot air coming out of the printroom, →to keep the printroom warmer to print materials like ABS/ASA/PC/PA

The LED Light:

so therefore i design an Electronic Bay Closer with LED (Neopixel) Light

FLSUN V400 LED Triangle - Electronic Bay Cover

-If you dont like to install the LED you can use ist also without installing LED Strips,

or you can use the much more simple design of JohnJacky

FLSUN V400 Top cover (Cut version)

The Door:

i do not design a door because JohnJacky already design one which is really nice, a very good design, yes it costs 5€ but it is absolutely worth it.

FLSUN V400 ENCLOSURE CUT VERSION

24 x M3 melt threaded insert (12 x if only Upper Riser would be installed)
24 x M3x20 (12 x if only Upper Riser would be installed)
12 x M3x25 (6 x if only Upper Riser would be installed)

→if you will install the SMCF (Stepper-Motor-Cooling-Fan)
you need the additional parts

3x Fan 4010 24 V (or for more cooling power Fan 4020)
12x M3x16 (M3x25 if Fan 4020 is used)

The Assembly:

  1. Turn the printer onto the head
  2. Deinstalll the lower electronic cover and the feets.
  3. Deinstall the power socket (make a picture to remember the pin assignment)
  4. Install the threaded inserts into the holes of the Lower Base
  5. Slide the Lower Base Left/Right in the T-slot.

Note: if you printed the splittet version.
-Connect the 2 parts. (Maybe it needs a bit of force maybe with a little tap of a hammer.)
-Install the threaded inserts into the holes of the Lower Base
-Then slide the connected assembled Lower Base Left/Right in the T-slot.

Note: Installing of threaded inserts - watch out the video from CNC-Kitchen
    Threaded Inserts in 3D Prints

  6. Install and connect the power socked
  7. install the Lower Riser with the feeds and the M5x25
  8. Fix the Lower Riser with the Lower Base with M3x20
  9. Install the lower electronic bay cover with M3x25
  10. Turn the printer
  11. Deinstall the electronic bay cover
  12. Deinstall the 3 profile covers
  13. Slide the acrylic sheets left and right in the 2 T-slots, by bending the sheets carefully, slide it carefully down until you reach the Lower Base
  14. Slide the acrylic plate in the slot of the Lower Base
-Start at one side and move towards the other side.
  15. Install the threaded inserts into the holes of the Upper Base
  16. Slide the Upper Base Left/Right in the T-slot until you reach the acrylic sheets
  17. Slide Upper Base carefully down and slide the acrylic sheets in the slot of the Upper
    Base
-Start at one side and move towards the other side.

Note: if you printed the splittet version.
-Connect the 2 parts. (Maybe it needs a bit of force maybe with a little tap of a hammer.)
-Install the threaded inserts into the holes of the Upper Base
-Slide the Upper Base Left/Right in the T-slot until you reach the acrylic sheet.
-Slide Upper Base carefully down and slide the acrylic sheets in the slot of the Upper
    Base
-Start at one side and move towards the other side.

  18.  Just slide the 2mm (max) acrylic plates in the 2 T-slots, which creates a bended plate. Begin at the top and slide it carefully down. I used a 2mm 855x400 sheet, but the length is up to you. I like it to be flush with the bottom of building plate and top of the printer.
  19. Connect the 2 parts. Maybe it needs a bit of force (little tap of a hammer). Put one side in the T-slot, lift the other half a bit up and force it in the T-slot. You can also place the part seperately in the slots and then connect them.
  20. Slide the acrylic plate in the slot of the cover plate. Start at one side and move towards the other side. Now place the top cover and slide the whole assembly into position.
  21. Install the Upper Riser with original  screws of the profile covers M5x10
  22. Fix the Upper Riser with the Upper Base with M3x20

Note: if you wanna install the SMCF (Stepper-Motor-Cooling-Fan)
go forward with Step 23 if you do not install the SMCF (Stepper-Motor-Cooling-Fan)
skip step 23-24 and go forward with 26
  23.  install the fans with M3x16 (4010 Fan) or M3x25 (4020 Fan) and M3 selflocking nuts
    to the Stepper-Motor-Cooling-Fan-Shroud
  24. install the Stepper-Motor-Fan-Cooling-Shroud with the stepper-motor-fan on the stepper motor by sliding it carefully on the back side of the stepper motor watch out of the connector , in one side of the fanshrout is a cutout for the connector
  25. connect the SMCF (Stepper-Motor-Cooling-Fan)
  26. unplug the mainboardfan and cut the wires in the middle connect the 3 Fans parallel to the mainboardfan ( the fans will run as soon as you switch on the printer)

Note: if you wanna install the temperatur controller (like me) so connect the fans to the temperatur controller and connect the temperatur controller to the mainboardfan
install the sensor of the temperatur controller on one of the stepper morots with a tape
    -i used a heatresistent aluminiumtape
  27. set the temperatur controller up to 55°C
  28. Install the upper electronic bay cover with M3x25

Hope you like the design.

if you like post your make and give me a like
