Allows easy mounting and rearrangement of a Walrus Audio guitar pedal on a pedal board made with 2020 aluminum extrusion. This design was tested on actual Walrus Audio pedals, but where the pedal is more or less a standard size, it may work for other pedals as well.
The plate attaches to the pedal using the pedal box screw pattern. The original screws were ever so slightly too short due to them being self-tapping, and the screw is therefore not threaded its entire length. Making the plate thinner did not seem to help.
The original screws that came with the pedal were replaced with #6-32 x 1/2" Flat-Head Stainless screws from Home Depot. See photo. The ½" length allowed enough to go through the plate, the pedals bottom panel, and thread into the box's tapped holes. Worked great.
A second version (actually the first in the design phase) just covers the bottom of the pedal. This allows Velcro to be attached to the printed mount instead of the pedal itself, possibly helping resale value later if the pedal were to be sold later.
The plate attaches to 2020 extrusion with two M4x0.7 x 6mm SHCS screws. The spacing from top to bottom is set to the spacing on my pedal board design. The screws are located diagonally so that two or more pedals can be mounted as close together as possible while still allowing space for the screw to be inserted/removed.
Cutout on the bottom saves some filament and shows the Walrus Audio logo. It can be filled in if desired. Another cutout shows the voltage rating of the pedal at the location where Walrus puts the stickers.
