Bassoon pickup

Some excellent bocal-mounted pickups are available for bassoon, like the Little Jake, but they are relatively expensive and require bocal cutting.  This pickup can be made from about $1 worth of parts and be used without modifying the bocal or bassoon.  The downside is that the highest note key on the wing joint (either D or C, depending on your bassoon) can no longer be used while usnig the pickup.
