Easy light up LED Ray Gun!

Basic wiring diagram:

Wiring:

  • From the 9v battery, I soldered a wire from the positive side to one of the terminals on the momentary switch.
  • Soldered all 4 positive LED wires together and all 4 negative LED wires together.
  • From the other terminal of the switch I soldered a wire to the positive side of the LED bundle
  • From the negative side of the LED bundle, I soldered a wire to the negative side of the battery.

I used things I had laying around:

BOM

  • 9V battery
  • LED with resistor: https://amzn.to/3N8fccX
  • Momentary Switch: https://amzn.to/3T1vDLP
  • 9v Battery Connector: https://amzn.to/47DkiGh
  • 24 AWG Silicone Wire: https://amzn.to/46DQjfZ
  • Optional: I used 3, 3mm heat inserts and 3, 35mm bolts. It should friction fit together really well. Up to you. I was worried about taking it apart a few times to change things it would loosen up. So far after numerous disassembles it sill fits great. As of now, they are only there for aesthetics and are not needed. If you plan on using the heat inserts, remember to increase the number of perimeters. I plan on adding a Teensy dev board later so there is a ton of room in the body for whatever.

Printing:

  • PLA or PETG
  • 0.4or ≥ nozzle
  • 0.2 ≥ layer height
  • Organic supports
  • Clear filament:
    • 2 x window.stl
    • 1 x barrel.stl
    • 1 x laser.stl ( use paint on supports so it doesn't try to add supports inside the globe )
  • Silver / Chrome filament:
    • 3 x fin
    • 1 x dish ( I just needed a brim )
    • 3 x ring
  • Gold filament:
    • 2 x ledHolder
    • 1 x grip
    • 1 x body
