This is a 6 Inch, 1200mm, f/8 Newtonian Reflector Telescope. It is a very capable, high bang-for-your-buck instrument. With it, you can very clearly see the rings of Saturn, the Great Red Spot on Jupiter, Jupiter’s moons, our Moon, Mars as well as most other deep sky objects of reasonable magnitude (pending the darkness of the skies you are under.)
Substitute 50x46x1000mmm Carbon Fiber Tube if 52mm is unavailable. Will need to modify clamping parts accordingly. Just reduce the ID of the clamps by 2mm.
It’s possible to use a different f-ratio mirror if desired by just shortening the main tube, or sliding the primary mirror holder forward (to account for reduced focal length.)
Possibly the trickiest part of this build is getting the proper alignment of the primary and secondary mirrors as well as the focuser. Everything is adjustable which can actually make it a bit trickier. Highly recommend a laser collimating tool. You may also want to design and print some alignment tools to help.
The second trickiest thing may be supporting the primary mirror without pinching. Recommended reading
