A First-In-First-Out dispenser for food cans. Snaps together for hardware-free assembly. The modular design can be expanded to be as large and as small as needed. Please read the instructions before printing, as this design is quite large and a mistake could waste a lot of material and time.
Slicer Setting Notes:
- Material: PETG
- Flexibility and strength must be as good or better than PETG. The only alternative that I would consider is nylon.
- Perimeters: 3
- This is a minimum. More can be used as desired, but it is unlikely to increase part strength in a meaningful way.
Assembly Notes:
Snap Fits: The snaps provided are intended to be very stiff to ensure maximum assembled part rigidity. I recommend using the following procedure to reduce the difficulty of assembly.
- Arrange all the sidewall components for one side of the FIFO container next to each other and using pliers to squeeze the snaps attach the rods to each location for that side.
- Using pliers to squeeze the snaps get the ends wedged into the mating components. Move from one rod to the next along the length of each opposing side wall part engaging only the end of each snap.
- Once all the ends of the snaps are wedged into each opposing sidewall part, press firmly and evenly to force the snaps to engage all at once on that side.
During my assembly process I had some XY-Layer adhesion failures on the snaps themselves, but this did nothing to reduce the apparent end part quality; in fact, they made the assembly easier.
