CSM Crescent Tool

Edited to add: I have discovered that this tool is the perfect thickness to use when lowering needles back into work. With it sitting on the cam ring (vintage Gearhart) just push the needles down with your hand. The butts stop them and the needles are positioned with stitch still under the latch and latch open! 

 Simple tool for lifting the needles on a sock machine.
