This magnetic buckle is easy to print and easy to use. It is designed to utilize two 8mm x 2.5mm disc magnets for extra closing strength, but it is functional without them.
The slots on either side are 3mm x 20mm, and this item can be scaled up or down without issue (but you will need appropriate sized magnets, and scaling down may require some sanding to help with tolerances).
To make the buckle, print one of each file in the orientation provided (the slider is optional). You will need supports, but the support surfaces do not need to be super clean nor will they be visible when the buckle is in use. After printing, glue a magnet in each hole, making sure to get the orientations correct so they attract each other. Once the buckle is assembled, you can attach to a piece of elastic or webbing to make a strap or belt.
To use, simply slip the male end through the back of the female end and rotate until it sits flat. To remove, reverse the procedure.
