Lighted Wizard Staff

I made this staff, it's not perfect but I'm happy with the results. You can make it as-is, or make it even better!

I designed the top dome and the inner “cut” for the flashlight in FreeCad, then designed the staff itself in Blender. A few additional supplies are needed:

• (1x) Wurkkos TS11 flashlight (readily available from Amazon, usually cheaper directly from the Wurkkos website but takes longer to ship)
• (1x) 5/8in x 4ft round wooden dowel (readily available from American hardware stores, not sure about other countries)
• (6x) 6mm x 2mm magnets (optional - friction fit actually works fine on my prints)

Globe was printed with Jarees clear PLA, staff was printed from Overture matte PLA and then painted with acrylic paint. Main staff was split into 6 pieces with Prusa Slicer's cut/connector tools, and the pieces were glued with CA glue around the wooden dowel for support. I printed the staff in 3 rounds due to issues with my ribbon cable knocking over my taller prints with too much Y variation, Your machine may be able to print it all in one go. I have added 3MF files with my pre-cut pieces, or you can just cut down the full staff STL yourself in your slicer. I used hollow infill for the globe and 10% adaptive cubic infill for the staff pieces. 2 perimeters on all of it, I believe.

IMPORTANT NOTE: I modeled the staff assuming a dowel length of 48"/~1220 mm, but my particular dowel ended up being too long. I had to cut off 2-3 inches to make it fit. So before gluing the final pieces together, make sure that they fit together and trim the dowel down if necessary.

IMPROVE THIS DESIGN! As you can probably tell, my Blender skills are far from perfect. If you're proficient at modeling, you can use my files to make your own! Basically just pull in the “StaffGlobeAssembly-final” and “StaffDowelV2” files, and model a staff around them. Then, simply use Boolean cuts to create the cutouts for the light/globe and the dowel!
