In clinical simulations, it is essential to equip students with the appropriate tools to practice their technical skills effectively. However, there are instances when the required equipment is either unavailable or prohibitively expensive. To address this challenge, I have been developing 3D models of various medical devices and medications that can be utilized for clinical simulations or printed for enjoyment. My latest creation is the Physio-Control LIFEPAK 15 Standard Hard Paddles prop designed specifically for clinical simulation purposes.
PLEASE NOTE: This model is not actual medical equipment and is not intended for real-world use. It serves as a simulated device aimed at enhancing the quality and accessibility of clinical simulation and medical education.
While this prop is primarily created for clinical simulation, I believe that cosplay enthusiasts might also find it valuable for crafting their costumes. Whether you’re preparing for Halloween, a themed event, or a film set, this model can add an authentic touch to your outfit!
For optimal results, you can print the model in a single color; however, I recommend programming two pauses to change materials. This will allow you to create a more realistic representation: print the "metal part" in gray, the body in a darker color, and the text in white for enhanced visibility. Additionally, I have provided models without the shock button, so you can print the button separately in red with a white shock arrow for a more authentic appearance. An infill of 10% is sufficient, but you can increase this to achieve a heavier model if desired.
I’m also considering creating defibrillation paddles from different device companies, but this may take some time. If you think this is a good idea, please feel free to message me to help stimulate my creativity!
My designs are available for free, despite the numerous hours invested in their creation. If you appreciate my work, consider treating me to a cup of hot chocolate!
