So I had one of those evaporation based air chiller laying around. They don't really work. But they do have a nice fan, controls for the fan and USB input.
So I took mine apart and modeled this solder fume extractor around the internals. It uses the fan, USB-board and control board. The piezo element was discarded. My guess is that most models use the same internals, but have different styling on the outside. Photo number three shows an example of what you can rip apart.
This should print fine in most materials. Print face down and support on build plate.
The control board goes on the right side (looking from the front). Uses the two original screws to mount.
The USB-board goes in the cut out on the rear. Use the original screw and screw hole.
The fan mounts with “fan screws” from a computer, from behind. Or use a long M4 screw with nuts on the backsides.
The attached g-code is for printing with PETG.
