Update: I have improved this model…
1. I have added a back plate. It is is much easier to use now as you can get all the cables ‘locked’ in the slots before attaching it to the back plate which is fixed to the desk.
2. Little stubs have been added to make it easier to grip just the bit you want to remove.

The back plate clips on so you can adjust the tolerance to suit or do as I did and glue some small magnets into the holes to give a satisfying ‘snap’ when it goes together.
I used two 3 x 1mm magnets in each hole.
I used tape to stick mine to the back edge of my desk but there is an optional bottom plate if you want to screw it on.
