Recommended materials

  • PC (ideal and what I used)
  • ABS
  • ASA

I don't recommend using PLA as it will slowly deform over time (mechanical creep) and loose it's clamping power. I used Polymaker's PolyMax PC filament and noticed no creep whatsoever.

Print settings I used

  • 0.4 mm nozzle and line width
  • 0.2 mm layer height
  • 3 walls
  • 3 bottom layers
  • 4 top layers
  • 20% grid infill

Parameter change in Fusion 360

The included stl is designed for a 28 mm think desk like Ikea's Idasen or Lagkapten desks. To adapt the model to your desk you'll need to change the ‘thickness’ parameter in Fusion 360. To do so, open the .f3d file and navigate to the ‘modify’ tab. Now open the dropdown menu and click on ‘change parameters’. A new window will open with the ‘thickness’ paramter front and center. Now you can input the thickness of your desk in mm and the model will automatically update accordingly.

Happy printing!

If you want to support what I'm doing, you can buy me a coffee. I appreciate it!
