This is a simple sizing tool for verifying the size legality of team-supplied game elements during Robot Inspection in FIRST Tech Challenge.   The outside edges of the tool define a 4-inch cubic space in which the team game element must fit.  There are also markings that define a 3-inch cubic space that the game element must cross in each direction to be legal.

There are also 2.5-inch numerals and a pointer on the left face to inspect that the minimum height requirement for team numerals is met.

The tool folds flat for easy storage and less chance of breakage in transport.

Printed using PETG, 100% infill, and 0.4mm layer height with a 0.6mm nozzle.  Almost any material, layer height and nozzle should work fine.  No supports are needed, but it may work better to set “Infill → Bridging Angle" to be 45 degrees so that bridges remain short.

The two halves can be joined using M3x16mm screws and M3 nuts.

The model works well for two-color printing, simply add a filament change modifier at the layer where the debossing ends (see the black+copper model in photos for results).
