After having read up on the problem of my mmu2s unit at these links:

On Prusa Forum: https://forum.prusa3d.com/forum/original-prusa-i3-mmu2s-mmu2-hardware-firmware-and-software-help/i-found-serious-design-error-in-mmu2-electronics-hardware/

On Github: https://github.com/prusa3d/MM-control-2.0/issues/15

I got this voltage regulator (LM2596) :

https://www.amazon.it/dp/B08K36H6K1?tag=farspace-21

Before connecting it to the unit I did some tests I prepared the cables avoiding soldering on the MMU control board (I derived the cables directly from the connectors)

Model origin

The author remixed this model.

Differences of the remix compared to the original

Modified version of the mmu2-ele-cover.stl model to allow the attachment of the cover that houses the bulk to convert the voltage from 24 Volts to 5 Volts (I thank my dad for his help and for giving me one of the converters he had left over)

Finally I added further useful support to make the best use of @Jackson upgrade for the FINDA sensor cable.
