Parametric Chainlink Fence Coupler

FULLY PARAMETRIC!

If you need to adjust any dimensions, load up the provided .f3d Fusion360 file and adjust the parameters as necessary :)

My dad has trees falling on a chainlink fence from time to time that'll wreck the top bars. For whatever reason, you can readily find every part to a chainlink fence other than the coupler – which shockingly isn't on Thingiverse nor Printables yet either -- so while he was able to replace the bars, he had to rely on a stockpile of couplers. He finally ran out this spring. He only wanted me to make a few, but I had an old spool of filament I wanted to get rid of, so I designed and printed off about a dozen for him to have a lifetime supply!

Forgot to take pics of the end result, but I printed it in black anyway which wouldn't have shown off much, so the main pic is the viewport of Fusion360 with transparency to show the internal “bump stop” geometry that makes sure it'll seat correctly, which is designed with a 30° taper to avoid needing any supports if you print it on its end.

STL is 6" tall, or 152.4mm, for those wondering. If you need shorter, download the .f3d Fusion360 file and change the Coupler_Length parameter accordingly as mentioned above.
