Printing Recommendations:

• Material: PLA or PETG for durability and precision. Resin of your choice.
• Layer Height: 0.2mm is appropriate as there is limited detail in the model.
• Infill: 20% or more to ensure the cutter's strength.
• Supports: No supports are needed. A brim may be required due to the low surface area in contact with the bed. Resin printers should consider the challenge of printing a cylinder and appropriately angle the model in their slicer software to ensure supports touch the inner and outer surfaces, as well as ensure that the layers are not purely vertical or horizontal.
• Orientation: Due to the narrow lip of the cutting edge, consider printing the model upside down so that the thicker edge touches the build surface. This is especially true if using a brim as you may find a rougher edge on the surface in contact with the bed (see pictures, where even a burr remover could not completely clean the surface).

Usage Tips:

• In the OpenSCAD file, adjust the base height value to change the position of the line. This line shows 4.3mm, the base height of Warhammer and 40k bases. It is a useful visual indicator if using the cutter to cut a whole base. 
  • Use this line to determine if you're clay is sufficiently rolled out before cutting and committing to the drying process.
• Allow the clay to dry thoroughly after cutting before placing it on the base.
