There are two pins that blend with the artwork. Find and release them to open the box

This was printed on a Prusa Mini+ and tolerance was set accordingly. Depending on your printer you might have to sand a bit or feel free to remix the OBJ files

Print instructions:

  • 0.20 mm layer height
  • If you want to do a multi-color by simple filament switch, place the Lid and Skull Pin artwork facing up for better results, The Skull Pin would need minor support.
  • The Lid needs minimal support for its edges and I found Prusa slicer's “automatic painting” feature does the job
  • Color the raised artwork and “pins” if you don't have multi-color

Assembly instructions:

  • Place the Cover on top of the Box, aligning with the notches provided on the top of the Box. Make sure the holes of the cover are on the open side of the box
  • Slide the Lid over the box, making sure the Moon holes align
  • Place the Moon Pin and Skull pin in their holes
  • Place the box upside down and gently press the box, This will push the pins so they align with the rest of the art and blend in

Solution:

  • Push the Moon so it falls into the box(Note: the Moon pin is a little hard to press on purpose, if you find it's really tough it should smoothen after a few tries as the friction should smoothen it a bit)
  • Slide the Lid until it locks, and you'll notice it doesn't move beyond a certain point. That is your cue to press the Skull Pin into the box. It should fall easily
  • Slide the Lid out
  • Remove the Cover(use the holes for pulling it)
  • Profit!
