When making the ReCreator MK6, I broke the CR-10 nozzle I was using. I have a few V6 hot end lying around, so I made this mount to support it. It uses;

  • (2) M3 x 35mm
  • (2) M3 Nut
  • (1) E3D V6 (PTFE version, which you should remove)

I actually would not recommend using an all metal V6, as the heat break is too narrow (I tried). I used one that used to contain PTFE, and is much wider. It doesn't go down to 1.75mm until the nozzle. I also added a M6 nut on the manifold side to allow the nozzle to sit flush, and to encourage heat up the stack. You can see it's location in my photos.

The V6 mount pieces themselves are intentionally very tight to grip the hot end. You want to print both of those pieces out of PETG or ABS. The mounting plate I would recommend PETG, but it doesn't get as hot as the original build.

No supports should be needed.

If your nozzle is tipping up or down after you put this in, check the orientation of the Top_Recreator piece. You might have it installed backwards, as the lip is not centered.

The mounting plate could be used for other hot ends if you make/find additional mounting pieces. The two holes in it that are 31mm apart (center diameter), which is the same spacing used on BondTech extruders. I included the .step for the plate in case you want to remix it.
