I wanted to use a Logitech C270 web camera without having to take the back part of the camera off so it could be removed if desired to be used again with a computer as a web camera.

The base model for the V2 mount to me was a little too flimsy so I beefed it up by increasing the distance between the front and the back of the model.

I then grafted on the tripod mount and worked on smoothing up all of the surfaces.

This was done using tinkercad.

To use the mount all you need to do is slide it over the cover for the adjustable pulley on the X-axis with the two bumps for the C270 web camera facing down. Then you insert the folded-up base of the camera into the slot and adjust the angle of the camera to give you a good view of the print head. On my setup I used one of the manual focus print models to redo the front of the camera so I could re-adjust the focus to better see the print in the middle of the print bed.

Model origin

The author remixed this model.

Differences of the remix compared to the original

I removed the camera part of the mount on the original camera mount file, beefed up the part of the mount that attaches to the adjustable pulley on the x axis, then I grafted on part of the tripod mount so a C270 could be slotted into the mount without having to do anything to take the back part of the camera off.
