DIN-Rail Adapter for Raspberry Pi 4 Case

This is an adapter to mount the Raspberry Pi 4 case ALUCASEP4+08 from JOY-IT to a DIN-Rail.

I did not find a good solution for a DIN-Rail case so I decided to use this standard case and applying an adapter. The case is fully out of aluminum and gives a good passive cooling to the Raspberry Pi 4. By (ab)using the cable slot of the extension slot cable no drilling or other work is necessary on the case.

There is also variants to attach an SSD for a file server application.

Variants

Option 1: RPI4 only

• 1x M3x25 screw
• 1x M3 nut
• 2x tapping screw 2.2x4.5mm

Option 2: RPI4 with Intenso Portable SSD Premium

• 1x M3x25 screw
• 1x M3 nut
• 2x tapping screw 2.2x4.5mm1x M3x25 screw

Option 3: RPI4 with Intenso SSD TX800

• 1x M3x25 screw
• 1x M3 nut
• 2x tapping screw 2.2x4.5mm
• 2x tapping screw 2.2x9.5mm

Printing

• The parts are printed in PETG. But other material may be used as well.
• The spring for the snapper should be printed in TPU. I used Das Filament TPU V2 which has a Shore hardness of 94A.
