Filament Spool Holder and Tension System Version 2

Holds the filament spool under tension so that it does not spin freely causing the filament to tangle.

Printer: MK4, Filament: PETG Black,  Slicer: Default settings

By keeping tension on the spool the filament does not unwind and tangle when printing.

Bill of Material:
(1) Hub Axle
(1) Hub Nut
(2) Spring Tension Nut
(2) Hub Attach Washers
(2) Filament Guides
(2) 6” x ¼” shaft. Thread on each end: ¼-20 UNC x 25mm
(2) ¼-20 UNC Nuts
(6) ¼” washers
(2) ¼ “ lock washers
(2) #96 springs, ¾” long.
(1) ¼-20 UNC Link nut

Spool diameter is 4mm larger. 

Added more thread length to spindle

Tension nut is 1mm larger.
