SNES LCD Screen Housing/Shell (PAL SNES/SFC version)

This is a Shell for the 4" (widescreen) AliExpress SNES LCD Screen, specifically to fit the PAL version of the SNES, or the Japanese Super Famicom (SFC).

Printing

I have include 2 variants of the bottom shell. One with lots of detail on the back (best suited for Resin/SLA printing), and one with a smooth back to fit on a FDM plate more easily - though I am not your mother, so I cant tell you what to do. If you're feeling adventurous, go for it and share the results!

I print the bottom part in 0.3mm layers, and the top in a gradient from 0.3 to 0.1 (printed with the curve upwards).

The images used aren't the best prints I've ever done, but good enough for a prototype and to be able to share the files knowing it will fit!

Assembly

For this build to fit in the console, you'll have to remove the front PCB and screws/stands.

The shells then clamp around the bottom PCB and screen/speakers, and are fastened using 4x M3x10mm hex screws.

I also recommend using some black tape to mask off the metal edges of the screen, just to make less glaring when using it :)

Update 10/15/23: Made some minor changes to the top pieces, allowing some transitions on the edges to be printed better when using supports.
