I made recently an adapter for my MK4 and an Overture spool because the cardboard spool don't spin freely on the spool holder of the mk4
But after making it I look behind me and see other brand of filament and here come the auto adapter for the MK4 holder.
The adapter will fit inside a spool between 51-66mm (like you can see in the picture).
You'll need the guide filament of Incendium87 with the Filament Guide to mount low on the MK3/MK4 Spool Holder link below :

Also made one for insert, I use ruthex insert that can be found on Amazon. The type is RX-M3x5.7, if you use the insert model you'll need to clean the overflow of PETG. I put a 1mm space for cover this.

You'll need this for making it :
give an amazon link for the spring I use :

I print everything with PETG at 0.15 speed with support on the bed on my MK4 and it works fine, need perhaps to sand a litlle the inner hole for the spool holder.
Just open the .3mf in prusaslicer and when asking that he detect multi part clic on no to have all parts not include in a single part
start by cutting the spring a little to have the good size (less strong and easier to put in place) cut it to have a 20-21mm lenght.
after that start to put together small parts with the down one like the picture. Use a small plier to help you.
when all is finish for the down part, don't press the spring or you'll need to put it again :)
Next take a M3 tap to just help M3 screw to hung the start of the hole
check that screw are starting to hung in the holes
After you can close with the upper part, just need to align holes
Now you can play with the spring if you can't wait :), after the fun test secure with the M3x10 screw
now you can put it on your spool, better put it on a flat part and push with two hand on the locking parts. After that unscrew the spool holder of the MK4 put your spool inside and screw it back.
could see that with a single finger the spool of 1kg don't slide of the parts
for taking it back you just have to turn it and pull at the same time
Have fun
